Bentley Makes it Five in a Row With Sweep of Saint Michael’s

FRANKLIN, Mass. – Bentley University made it five wins in a row on Wednesday, with a 9-0 sweep of Saint Michael's in a Northeast-10 men's tennis match at the Adirondack Club.

Three of the six singles matches Bentley won came with just one dropped game; Brendan McCarthy (Falmouth, Maine/Falmouth) in the No. 1 match (6-0, 6-1), Chase Rosa (Hampton, N.H./Berwick) in the No. 3 match (6-0, 6-1) and Brett Gilman (Mahwah, N.J./Mahwah) in the No. 4 match (6-0, 6-1).

The other singles matches were won by Dylan Granat (Woodbury, N.Y./Syosset), 6-3, 6-0 in the No. 2 match, Kendall Au (Essex Fells, N.J./West Essex), 6-2, 6-3 in the No. 5 match and Nick Hatcher (Danbury, Conn./Immaculate) 6-2, 6-1 in the No. 6 match.

Doubles play saw McCarthy and George Samander (Willemstad, Curacao/ISC) team for an 8-3 triumph in the No. 1 match. Granat and Fuca combined for an 8-0 sweep in No. 2 and Michael Fuca (Manchester, Mass./Manchester-Essex) and Gilman were 8-1 winners in the No. 3 match.

Bentley is now 8-5 on the season and 3-1 in NE10 matches. The next match is Saturday at Stonehill.
