CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Bentley men's tennis team opened its spring schedule on Saturday afternoon, but dropped a 9-0 decision to MIT at the J.P. Carr Tennis Bubble in Cambridge for only its first defeat of the 2015-16 season after a perfect fall campaign. The Falcons' record falls to 6-1.

The match saw sophomore Brendan McCarthy (Falmouth, Maine/Falmouth) maintain his spot in the No. 1 singles position, and the No. 1 doubles match was played by McCarthy and classmate George Samander (Willemstad, Curacao/ISC).

Dylan Granat (Woodbury, N.Y./Syosset) was in the No. 2 singles position and Samander took up the No 3 position.

Bentley will resume its spring season on Feb. 27 when they host Wentworth at the Cedardale Athletic Club.
