Bentley Finishes Fall at 6-0 After Beating Hartford

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – The Bentley men's tennis team finished its fall season with a 6-0 record and posted its second win over a Division I team by defeating Hartford 4-3 on Saturday.

The Falcons won 4 of 6 singles matches after Hartford won the doubles point by winning the No. 1 and No. 2 matches.

Bentley's top two singles players Brendan McCarthy (Falmouth, Maine/Falmouth) and Dylan Granat (Woodbury, N.Y./Syosset) continued to role with straight sets victories. McCarthy defeated Daniel Rombola 6-4, 6-2 in the No. 1 match, and Granat topped Nick Sharwarko by dropping only two games in the No. 2 match, 6-1, 6-1.

Michael Fuca (Manchester, Mass./Manchester-Essex) picked up his second win of the day by defeating Brian Einstoss 6-0, 6-4 in the No. 4 match after earlier teaming with Brett Gilman (Mahwah, N.J./Mahwah) for a victory in No. 3 doubles. Chase Rosa (Hampton, N.H./Berwick) was Bentley's other winner in singles, defeating Juan Molina in three sets in the No. 5 match, 6-4, 5-7, 7-5.

The Falcons also finished the fall with a 2-0 Northeast-10 record with wins over Le Moyne and Franklin Pierce.
