Bentley Rallies Past So. New Hampshire in Singles for 6-3 Win

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley won its fourth straight match on Wednesday and improved to 6-2 in the Northeast-10 with a 6-3 road victory over Southern New Hampshire.

The Penmen took a 2-1 lead from doubles play, with the Falcons team of George Samander (Willemstad, Curacao/ISC) and Brendan McCarthy (Falmouth, Maine/Falmouth) winning the No. 2 match 8-4.

Bentley though rallied in singles by taking five of the six matches, with Southern only taking the No. 1 match. McCarthy cruised in the No. 2 match, 6-2, 6-1, for his second win of the day. Samander was victorious for a second time as well, posting a 6-3, 6-0 victory in the No. 3 match.

Sophomore Chase Rosa (Hampton, N.H./Berwick Academy) won the No. 4 match, 6-3, 6-1. Freshmen Daniel Camacho (Bogota, Columbia/CNG) was a 7-6, 6-4 winner in the No. 5 match, and Felipe Palacios (Bogota, Columbia/CNG) was a 6-2, 7-6 winner in the No. 6 match.

The Falcons will go for their fifth straight as they play their second to last match of the regular season on Friday at home against Le Moyne.
