Stonehill Tops Bentley Men's Tennis 7-2

EASTON, Mass. – The Bentley men's tennis team returned to Northeast-10 action on Tuesday at Stonehill, but suffered a 7-2 setback in their first match in almost three weeks. The Falcons took the No. 3 doubles and singles matches.

Stonehill won the No. 1 and No. 2 doubles matches to take a 2-1 lead into singles play. Bentley's team of Chase Rosa (Hampton, N.H./Berwick) and Sam Frye (Redlands, Calif./Redlands) defeated Jared Drzal and Tom Buckley 9-7 in the No. 3 match to earn the point.

The Falcons' point in singles came from freshman George Samander (Willemstad, Curacao/ISC), a 6-4, 7-5 winner in the No. 3 match over Drzal.

Bentley drops to 5-5 overall and 1-1 in NE-10 play with the defeat. They are back in action on Thursday when they host Assumption at 3:00 pm.
