Bentley Aces Wentworth, 8-1
HAVERHILL, Mass. – The Bentley men's tennis team won its first match of the spring season on Saturday afternoon, defeating Wentworth 8-1 in a non-conference match at the Cedardale Athletic Club. Two Falcons helped the cause with two wins on the day.
Junior Kamil Pilch (Wroclaw, Poland/IMG) set the tone with wins in both top flight singles and doubles. He combined with senior Alex DeMuth (Shaker Heights, Ohio/University School) to claim the doubles match, 8-2.
The other Bentley player to win twice on the day was sophomore Chase Rosa (Hampton, N.H./Berwick Academy). Rosa took the No. 3 singles match, and teamed with Jerry Liang for a victory in the No. 2 doubles match.
With the win, Bentley improves to 3-1 on the season. They next head to Florida for their spring break trip to prep for the Northeast-10 season. The trip gets underway with a match against Monmouth (Ill.) on March 8.
