STORRS, Conn. – The Bentley men's team opened its fall season over the past two days at the UConn Invitational against several Division I schools. Heading into the final day of competition on Sunday, freshman Brendan McCarthy (Falmouth, Maine) and junior Evan Chomka (Warwick, R.I.) are still alive in their respective singles tournaments.

McCarthy, in his first action at Bentley, will play in the finals of the A singles consolation tournament on Sunday. To get there, he defeated Darren Reisch of Siena 8-6 and Justin Pagan of Sacred Heart 8-6. He will play Will Drumwright of Hartford in the finals.

Chomka, playing in the B singles consolation tournament, defeated Morgan White of Hartford 8-5. He will play Eric Ambrosio of Quinnipiac in the semifinals on Sunday, and Jorge Ortiz of Bryant awaits the winner in the final.
