ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Bentley University closed out its spring break trip on Saturday, but were beaten by Eckerd 7-2 despite winning two doubles matches.

The Falcons took the second and third doubles matches. In the second-flight, sophomore Sam Frye (Redlands, Calif./Redlands) and senior Jimmy Rindo (Lowell, Mass./Lowell) combined to defeat Stephen Felman and Nikita Valuiskikh 8-6. In the third-flight, it was freshman Chase Rosa (Hampton, N.H./Berwick Academy) and senior Andrew Waddington (Granby, Conn./Granby Memorial) getting the better of Johh Cheng and Eddie Lewis by a score of 8-4.

The Falcons fall to 5-5 on the season, and they now return north and will next host Assumption on Wednesday to resume Northeast-10 play.
