Florida Tech Sweeps Bentley 9-0

MELBOURNE, Fla. – Florida Tech, ranked No. 45 nationally in Division II and out of the Sunshine State Conference, won its fourth straight match by sweeping Bentley in a non-conference men's tennis match on Thursday.

The Panthers won all three doubles matches by an 8-2 score, including the top-flight match with sophomore Patrick Hernandez and freshman Wade Ball defeating Bentley's Jimmy Rindo (Lowell, Mass./Lowell) and Kamil Pilch (Wroclaw, Poland/IMG Pendleton).

Rindo had the most success in singles, taking five games off Hernandez in the top-flight match in a 6-1, 6-4 final.

Florida Tech improves to 4-5 on the season, while Bentley's record evens to 4-4. The Falcons continue their spring break trip on Friday against UMass-Boston in Kissimmee.
