CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Bentley University men's tennis team got its spring season underway Thursday, but was beaten by MIT 6-1. Senior Rodrigo Ribeiro (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Chapel School) picked up the point for Bentley in top-flight singles.

Bentley, which went 3-0 in the fall and was picked second in the Northeast-10 preseason poll, falls to 3-1 on the season.

Ribeiro defeated junior Edwin Zhang to earn the point for the Falcons, 7-5, 6-2 in the top match for singles.

Bentley returns to the courts on Saturday afternoon when they face Babson at 4:30 pm.
