Rindo, Pilch Win Singles Titles at Quinnipiac Invitational

HAMDEN, Conn. – Bentley University junior Jimmy Rindo (Lowell, Mass./Lowell) and freshman Kamil Pilch  (Wroclaw, Poland/IMG Pendleton) won singles tournaments on Saturday as the Falcons wrapped up play at the Quinnipiac Invitational.

Rindo won the A consolation tournament, getting the honor over teammate Rodrigo Ribeiro (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Chapel School) after Ribeiro had to retire in the first set. Rindo won two matches against Division I players to get to the finals, beating Chris Nelson of Quinnipiac and Nick Sharwacks of Hartford.

Pilch took the title in the B consolation competition, topping Alex Holdskic of Hartford in the quarterfinals, Fahoum Fahoum of Quinnipiac in the semis and Dana Parziale of Bryant in the finals by a score of 9-8 (5).

Sophomore Alex DeMuth (Shaker Heights, Ohio/University School) made it to the finals of the D consolation tournament before falling to Luka Bagi of Sacred Heart.

Bentley gets back to dual match play on Oct. 12 at home against Saint Anselm in its final match of the fall season.
