Bentley Places Conference-High 4 on Academic All-Northeast-10 Men’s Swimming & Diving Team

WALTHAM, Mass. – The 2019-20 Academic All-Northeast-10 Conference men's swimming and diving team included a conference-high four student-athletes from Bentley University. No other team had more than two selected to the nine-person team.

They are senior Sam Trozenski (Pittsburgh, Pa./Mount Lebanon HS) and a trio of sophomores: Jeremy Glick (South Windsor, Conn./South Windsor HS), Zach Papsco (Northport, N.Y./Northport HS) and Mark Zoda (Nashua, N.H./Bishop Guertin HS).

Zoda, who has achieved a 3.62 grade point average as an accountancy major, has a swimming resume that includes ten Northeast-10 gold medals. Five of those were earned this past February by the 2019 NE10 Men's Rookie of the Year as he repeated as the NE10 champion in the 100 yard freestyle and the 200 free. He was second in the meet in points scored (45) and helped Bentley sweep the three free relays. School records were achieved in the 100 free, 50 free and the 400 medley relay.

Trozenski, an economics-finance major with a 3.70 GPA, returned to the pool this past season after spending his junior year studying at the London School of Economics and Political Science. During the NE10 Championships, he finished sixth in the 200 breaststroke, eighth in the 100 breast, ninth in the 200 free relay and 13th in the 50 free.

Papsco made four trips to the awards podium during the conference championships as he earned silver in the 100 breast and the 400 medley relay, placed third in the 200 butterfly and helped the Falcons gain the bronze in the 200 medley relay. He broke the school record in the 50 breast (26.46) and was also part of a school record in the 400 medley relay (3:24.09). Papsco has also impressed in the classroom, achieving a 3.76 as an accountancy major.

Glick, an undecided business major with a 3.63 GPA, finished fourth off both boards at the NE10 Championships with scorers of 358.65 in the three-meter competition and 375.40 in the one-meter. Three times, he was honored as the NE10 Men's Diver of the Week.

Bentley, following a 9-1 dual season, repeated as Northeast-10 champions.
