Bentley Breaks Two Pool Records While Earning 35th Straight Win

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Senior Dan Sausto (Slingerlands, N.Y./Doane Stuart School) won two events, including the 1000 yard freestyle in pool record time, and the Bentley University Falcons also broke the pool record in the 200 free relay during a 209-91 win in men's swimming and diving action at Le Moyne College Saturday at the Rev. Vincent Ryan Pool.

The win was the 35th consecutive dual victory for Bentley and the team's second of the season.

Sausto swam the 1000 in 9:55.37, the fastest achieved by a Northeast-10 Conference swimmer so far this season as well as the best ever in the Ryan Pool. His other victory came in the 500 free with a time of 4:53.49. His winning margin in the former was more than 19 seconds and he defeated teammate Jarod Yoshihara (Irvine, Calif./University HS) by 1.71 seconds in the 500.

Zoda also captured a pair of individual races, including the 100 free with his 47.37 the best in the conference so far this season. His other win came in the 200 free (1:45.06).
