148 Bentley Student-Athletes Receive D2ADA Academic Achievement Awards

The 148 honorees was the second most for any institution in the Northeast-10 Conference and the East Region, as well as the 11th highest total nationally. Putting that into perspective, there are more than 300 Division II institutions across the country.

The Council of Presidents of the Northeast-10 Conference voted unanimously on Thursday, July 16, to suspend all NE10-sponsored competition and championships through December 31 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Four members of the Bentley University swimming and diving teams, including recent graduates Caroline Logozzo (Wethersfield, Conn./Wethersfield HS) and Dan Sausto (Slingerlands, N.Y./The Doane Stuart School), have received CSCAA Scholar All-America second team recognition from the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America.

The 2019-20 Academic All-Northeast-10 Conference men’s swimming and diving team included a conference-high four student-athletes from Bentley University. No other team had more than two selected to the nine-person team. They are senior Sam Trozenski (Pittsburgh, Pa./Mount Lebanon HS) and a trio of sophomores: Jeremy Glick (South Windsor, Conn./South Windsor HS), Zach Papsco (Northport, N.Y./Northport HS) and Mark Zoda (Nashua, N.H./Bishop Guertin HS).

Bentley University freshmen Mary Huminski (Madison, Conn./Daniel Hand HS) and Anthony Vizental (Concord, Calif./Clayton Valley HS) were recognized Thursday as the Northeast-10 Conference announced its postseason awards for swimming and diving. Huminski was voted as the NE10 Women’s Diver of the Year and Vizental was the choice as NE10 Men’s Rookie of the Year.
