Bentley Men Improve to 10-0 win 154-65 Win at St. Michael’s

COLCHESTER, Vt. – Sophomore Frank Elenio (Ridgefield, N.J./Bergen County Academies) and senior Greg Coleman (Lake Ronkonkoma, N.Y./Sachem North HS) were double-winners as the Bentley University men's swimming and diving team improved to 10-0 in dual competition with a 154-65 victory at St. Michael's College Saturday afternoon.

The ten wins ties the school record for most in a season, set in 1997-98 and matched ten years later. The Falcons will have a chance to break the record when they host Bridgewater State in the final dual of the season Wednesday night.

Elenio turned in winning swims in both the 1650 yard freestyle (17:21.46) and the 200 butterfly (2:03.18) while Coleman swept the two one-meter diving events with a combined score of 390.40.

Junior Chris Vukas (Randolph, N.J./Randolph HS) was also instrumental in the victory as he won the 200 backstroke (2:04.55), anchored the Falcons' winning 200 medley relay (1:45.41), and swam the opening leg in the 200 free relay, which Bentley won in 1:33.44.

Other individual winners for Bentley were senior Liam Bartlett (Syracuse, N.Y./William Nottingham HS) in the 50 free (22.67), junior Aidan Karam (Norwich, Conn./Norwich Free Academy) in the 200 free (1:51.51), junior Jonny Boains (Unionville, Conn./Farmington HS) in the 200 individual medley (2:03.39), sophomore Ryan McGeary (Paramus, N.J./Bergen Catholic HS) in the 500 free (5:00.83) and freshman Sam Trozenski (Pittsburgh, Pa./Mt. Lebanon HS) in the 200 breaststroke (2:19.93).

Dating back to last season, Bentley has won 12 straight dual meets.
