Yoshihara and Coleman Win Twice as Bentley Men Swim Past Pace, 171-119

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Freshman Jarod Yoshihara (Irvine, Calif./University HS) and senior Greg Coleman (Lake Ronkonkoma, N.Y./Sachem North HS) each won two events as the Bentley University men's swimming and diving team stayed unbeaten in dual competition with a 171-119 win at Pace University Wednesday. The Falcons, competing for the first time in a month, improved to 7-0.

Yoshihara earned victories in the two backstroke events, posting times of 54.58 seconds in the 100 and 1:59.58 in the 200. His winning margins were 3.28 seconds in the 100 and more than six seconds in the 200.

Coleman swept the diving with senior teammate Nick Cilia (Brentwood, N.H./Exeter HS) second in both. Coleman posted a score of 236.60 from the one-meter board and 209.40 from the three-meter.

The other individual winners for Bentley were sophomore Frank Elenio (Ridfgefield, N.J./ Bergen County Academies) in the 200 butterfly (2:00.98) and junior Jonny Boains (Unionville, Conn./ Farmington HS) in the 200 individual medley (2:03.05).

Bentley closed out the meet by taking the 400 free relay in 3:16.60. That quartet consisted of seniors Liam Bartlett (Syracuse, N.Y./William Nottingham HS) and Davis Wilson (Ransom Canyon, Texas/ Lubbock HS), junior Aidan Karam (Norwich, Conn./Norwich Free Academy) and sophomore Ryan McGeary (Paramus, N.J./Bergen Catholic HS).

McGeary also had a pair of second-place finishes, as did freshman Sam Trozenski (Pittsburgh, Pa./ Mt. Lebanon HS).

Bentley is also on the road Saturday, swimming at Keene State at 1 pm.
