INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Bentley University senior Nicola Mancini (Falmouth, Maine/Falmouth HS), a three-time All-America, qualified for the NCAA Division II Championships after finishing fourth from the three-meter board during Tuesday's qualification meet at the Indiana University Natarium located on the campus of IUPUI.

Mancini, back in the NCAAs after missing the 2015 season due to injury, posted a score of 288.15 from the three-meter, just 5.10 points off the winning mark recorded by Tatiana Kurach of Henderson State University.

Mancini topped 50 points on four of her six dives, including an inward two-and-a-half somersault tuck on her fifth dive. She amassed 56.70 points after earning five 7.0's on a 2.7 degree of difficulty.

After locking up a berth in the championships, Mancini finished 19th of 43 off the one-meter board with a score of 247.55. Every point mattered in the event as she was only 6.05 points out of tenth and 9.1 out of the top eight.

As was the case off the three-meter board, Mancini's highest scoring dive during the one meter was also her fifth dive, a one-and-a-half somersault pike (49.20).

Also competing in the qualification meet for Bentley were seniors Colton Bridge (Tolland, Conn./Tolland HS) and Courtney Stone (Andover/Andover HS).

Bridge was 23rd of 29 in the three-meter competition (206.80) and 23rd of 30 from the one-meter board (257.20). He missed advancing to the championships by about 20 points on the latter. Bridge's highest scoring dive of the day was an inward two somersault tuck from the one meter, good for 51.80 points with a 2.8 degree of difficulty.

Stone was 38th of 43 on the three-meter board (193.45) and 37th of 43 in the one-meter competition (217.80). Her best score came during the three-meter action with a 39.60 on a back one-and-a-half somersault straight.

Mancini will compete in the three-meters Wednesday, beginning at 2 pm, and the one-meter Friday, also beginning at 2.
