Bentley Closes Out Dual Schedule with 152-125 Win at Bridgewater State

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – In its final action before the Northeast-10 Conference Championships get underway on Feb. 4, the Bentley University men's swimming and diving team completed its dual schedule with a 152-125 win over Bridgewater State University at Bridgewater Tuesday night.

Freshman Ryan McGeary (Paramus, N.J./Bergen Catholic HS), junior Liam Bartlett (Syracuse, N.Y./William Nottingham HS) and senior Colton Bridge (Tolland, Conn./Tolland HS) were double-winners for the Falcons, who finished the schedule with a 6-5 record.

McGeary earned victories in the 1000 yard freestyle (10:30.36) and the 200 breaststroke (2:22.90) after swimming a leg on the Falcons' winning 400 medley relay team. He partnered with classmate Dima Stselmakh (North Reading/North Reading HS) and juniors Colin McCarthy (Glastonbury, Conn./Northwest Catholic HS) and Davis Wilson (Ransom Canyon, Texas/Lubbock HS) for a 3:49.10.

Bartlett captured both the 50 free (23.12) and 100 free (52.29) while Bridge was victorious in the two diving events. He posted scores of 279.80 from the one-meter board and 308.50 from the three-meter.

The other Falcon first-place finishes came from McCarthy in the 100 butterfly (54.70), Wilson in the 200 individual medley (2:04.52), senior Timothy Connolly (Dorchester/Boston Latin Acad.) in the 200 backstroke (2:05.35), sophomore Christopher Vukas (Randolph, N.J./Randolph HS) in the 100 back (56.70), sophomore Aidan Karam (Norwich, Conn./Norwich Free Academy) in the 500 free (4:59.31) and senior Kevin Diefenbach (Hamilton, N.J./Steinert HS) in the 200 free (1:52.27).

The Northeast-10 Championships will run from Feb. 4-7 at WPI.
