Bentley Takes 15 of 16 Events for 155.5-132.5 Win over Norwich

WALTHAM, Mass. – After winning the 200 medley relay to start the meet, senior Sebastian Bury (Bellevue, Wash./Newport Senior HS), sophomore Christopher Vukas (Randolph, N.J./Randolph HS) and freshmen Ryan McGeary (Paramus, N.J./Bergen Catholic HS) and Matt Gwozdecke (Bristol, Conn./ St. Paul Catholic HS) combined for nine individual wins as Bentley University recorded a 155.5-132.5 win over Norwich University Saturday at the Brandeis University pool.

Vukas turned in winning performances in the 50 yard backstroke (27.09) and the 100 back (57.47), tying for first in the latter. Bury was the first to finish in both the 50 free (22.57) and the 100 free (50.16) and McGeary also doubled, in the 1000 free (10:44.68) and the 100 breaststroke (1:05.62). Gwozdecke's victory came with a time of 24.99 in the 50 butterfly.

Senior Colton Bridge (Tolland, Conn./Tolland HS) and junior Davis Wilson (Ransom Canyon, Texas/Lubbock HS) were also double-winners for the Falcons. Bridge swept the diving and met the standard for the NCAA Division II pre-qualifying meet with a combined score of 468.95. Wilson posted winning efforts in the 200 free (1:49.06) and the 400 individual medley (4:34.32).

Completing the list of individual wins for the 3-3 Falcons were sophomore Aidan Karam (Norwich, Conn./Norwich Free Academy) in the 500 free (5:06.49) and freshman Frank Elenio (Ridgefield, N.J./Bergen County Academies) in the 50 breast (30.76).

After a four-week break, Bentley will resume its schedule Jan. 9 at home against Pace University.
