Bentley Drops 134-100 Decision to Saint Rose; Bridge Sweeps Diving

WALTHAM, Mass. – Despite posting the fastest 400 yard free relay time of the year in the Northeast-10 Conference, the Bentley University men's swimming and diving team dropped a 134-100 decision to The College of Saint Rose Sunday afternoon at the Dana Center pool.

Sophomore Christopher Vukas (Randolph, N.J./Randolph HS) combined with junior Davis Wilson (Ransom Canyon, Texas/Lubbock HS) and a pair of seniors, Nick Toselli (Barrington, R.I./ Barrington HS) and Sebastian Bury (Bellevue, Wash./Newport Senior HS), for a winning time of 3:17.48 on the day's final event. The previous NE-10 best this season had been 3:17.91 by Pace University.

Prior to winning the relay, Bentley had only three firsts in the meet, two of those recorded by senior Colton Bridge (Tolland, Conn./Tolland HS). He swept the diving with scores of 288.05 off the one-meter board and 264.00 from the three-meter.

Freshman Ryan McGeary (Paramus, N.J./Bergen Catholic HS) had Bentley's only individual win in a swimming event as he took the 1000 free in 10:17.22, the fourth best in the NE-10 to date. McGeary was also second in the 500 free, finishing in a season-best 4:57.70

Wilson had a pair of seconds, in the 200 free (1:48.77) and the 100 free (49.41), and senior Tim Connolly (Dorchester/Boston Latin Acad.) was the runner-up in the 200 backstroke (2:02.16).

Bentley, 1-3, will host Brandeis University on Friday at 6 pm.
