Bridge Takes Both Diving Events as Bentley Tops UMass-Dartmouth, 182-99

DARTMOUTH, Mass. – Sophomore Colton Bridge (Tolland, Conn./Tolland HS) prevailed in both diving events and ten different swimmers won individual events as Bentley University took care of UMass-Dartmouth, 182-99, in men's college swimming Saturday afternoon at UMass-Dartmouth.

Both of Bridge's wins came in convincing fashion with scores of 235.55 off the one-meter board and 220.10 from the three-meter.

Bentley's winners in the swimming events included three freshmen. They were Andrew Nickerson (Andover/Andover HS) in the 1000 freestyle (11:12.28), Matt Ahlmeyer (Morris Plains, N.J./Morristown HS) in the 100 backstroke (58.11) and Dennis Witol (Bowie, Md./Eleanor Roosevelt HS) in the 400 individual medley (4:31.22).

Other freestyle winners for Bentley were sophomore Owen Karl (Rochester, N.Y./Brighton HS) in the 200 (1:51.66), junior Rene Faria (Caracas, Venezuela) in the 50 (22.95), sophomore Nick Toselli (Barrington, R.I./Barrington HS) in the 100 (51.42) and senior Andreas Mouritsen (Greve, Denmark) in the 500 (5:04.01).

The list of Falcons who finish first also included sophomore Sebastian Bury (Bellevue, Wash./ Newport Senior HS) in the 50 butterfly (25.16) and senior Peter Belanger (Andover/Andover HS) in the 100 fly (57.18).

Bentley, 2-2, will host Brandeis Friday at 6 pm and Norwich Saturday at 1 pm.
