Mote Named to CoSIDA Academic All-District 1 Team for Division II
Waltham, Mass. – Bentley University's Connor Mote (Lisle, Ill./Benet) has been voted to the CoSIDA Academic All-District 1 Team for Division II men's soccer, it was announced Thursday.
Mote has been a key player in a strong season for the Bentley men's soccer team that has them into the Northeast-10 Quarterfinals on Saturday.
The junior is among the leading scorers in the NE10 this season. He is T-9th in goals with seven and ranks T-10th in points with 17. Earlier in the season he had a streak of five straight games with a goal from Sept. 18-Oct. 2, and also had a streak of seven straight games with at least one point.
Mote began his career as a fullback and started every game his first two seasons, but has transitioned into one of the top midfielders in the NE10.
Academically, he majors in economics-finance and has a 3.59 GPA.
He is the first Bentley men's soccer player to be named Academic All-District since Weston Zeiner did it in consecutive years in 2011 and 2012.
Mote and the Falcons will take on Franklin Pierce in the NE10 Quarterfinals on the road on Saturday. The match will begin at 5:00 pm.
