Of the five Bentley goals today, three came from players scoring their first career goals and two were on penalty kicks.

Junior back Nicholas Italia (Rocky Hill, Conn./Northwest Catholic) got the scoring started in the 26th minute after he chested down a deflected ball,  and fired a shot from 15 yards into the top corner of the net.

Just before halftime, freshman Silmar Bueno (Framingham, Mass./Beaver Country) made it 2-0 after running on to a through ball and chipping a shot over the goalie's head from 25 yards out.

Bentley scored three more times in the second half. Sophomore Lucas Pagano (Miami, Fla./Palmer Trinity) and junior Scott Levy (Canton, Mass./Canton) scored on penalty kicks in the 58th and 83rd minutes. Freshman Tommy Nickerson (Colchester, Conn./Bacon Academy) netted his first career goal in the 72nd minute.

Levy's goal was his sixth of the season, giving him the team lead for the second straight season.

Prior to the match the team's three seniors were honored. Backs Tom Fitzpatrick (Coventry, Conn./East Catholic) and Kyle Lasewicz (Thompson, Conn./Pomfret) and goaltender Nick Gagnon (Escondido, Calif./San Pasqual). Gagnon got into the game in the 80th minute.
