Three Different Goal Scorers Help Bentley Beat Saint Rose 3-2

ALBANY, N.Y. – Bentley University received goals from three different players as they picked up their first three points of the season in Northeast-10 play with a 3-2 road win over Saint Rose Saturday afternoon in men's soccer.

The goal scorers for Bentley were senior Justin Cirasola (Oceanside, N.Y./Oceanside), sophomore Nicolas Ucros (Guatemala City, Guatemala/Jules Verne French) and freshman Forrest Scaringe (Cohoes, N.Y./CBA), the first goals of the season for all three.

Cirasola struck first in the 29th minute to give the visiting Falcons a 1-0 lead, connecting from 12 yards out.

Bentley took that lead into halftime, but it didn't last long after the break as the Golden Knights tied it up in the 50th minute on the second goal of the season by freshman midfielder Uros Antic, who one-timed a pass from the right wing by senior Juan Garzon for the goal.

But the Falcons took the lead right back about six minutes later in the 56th minute on sophomore Ucros' first goal as a member of the squad. A transfer who played at Saint Edwards University in Austin, Texas last season, Ucros hooked in a free kick from 35 yards out to give Bentley a 2-1 lead.

In the 72nd minute Scaringe scored his first career goal to make it 3-1, on another long range shot, this one from 25 yards away on the right wing.

Saint Rose made it interesting with a goal in the 89th minute, this time it was Antic setting up Garzon for a goal, but Bentley held on over the final minute and a half for a 3-2 victory.

The Falcons (2-3-0, 1-2-0 NE-10) claim their first Northeast-10 win of the season after dropping their first two conference matches, while Saint Rose falls to 3-3-0 overall and 1-2-0 in the NE-10.

Bentley's next match is Wednesday afternoon at home against Stonehill. Kickoff is 3:30 pm.
