Waltham, Mass. – Bentley University head men's lacrosse coach Jim Murphy will be inducted into the Eastern Massachusetts Lacrosse Hall of Fame this Saturday, at the Major League Lacrosse game between the Boston Cannons and Denver Outlaws. The Outlaws feature Bentley alum Max Adler '17 as a face-off specialist.

The Cannons play their home games in Quincy at Veterans Memorial Stadium. The game gets underway at 5:00. Starting at 3:00 pm, a reception will be held for Bentley men's lacrosse alumni and friends at the Fowler House Cafe in Quincy.

Murphy just completed his 27th season as the head coach of the Bentley men's lacrosse program. He earned his 6th NE10 Coach of the Year Award, and 5th NEILA Coach of the Year Award, for the 2019 season in which he led the Falcons to the NE10 Playoffs and a final national ranking of 18th from the USILA.

During the season, Murphy earned his 200th career victory. That made him just the 5th Division II coach all-time to surpass that milestone.

In addition to coach Murphy being honored, the Denver Outlaws feature one of his former players in Max Adler '17. Adler is the face-off specialist for the Outlaws, and helped the team win the 2018 MLL championship.

During his time at Bentley, Adler was a two-time All-America and earned numerous other awards. He finished his Bentley career with a face-off winning percentage of nearly 70 percent, and was drafted by the Outlaws after graduating in 2017.
