Haggan Claims NE10 Goalie of the Week Award

Waltham, Mass. – Michael Haggan (Braintree, Mass./B.C. High) of the Bentley men's lacrosse team claimed NE10 Goalie of the Week honors on Tuesday.

Haggan helped lead Bentley to two wins last week, over NE10 rivals Southern New Hampshire and Saint Michael's by posting a combined save percentage of 85.7, with 30 saves against just five goals allowed.

Haggan made 12 saves in Bentley's 14-5 win over Southern New Hampshire on April 2. He allowed just three goals and had an 80.0 percent save percentage. The next game against Saint Michael's this past Saturday was even better, as he made a season high 18 stops against just two goals allowed for a 90.0 percent save percentage.

It's the first time in his career he has been named the NE10's Goalie of the Week.

Haggan has started all eight games in the cage for the Falcons this season. He currently has the NE10's second best save percentage at 62.4, and the fourth lowest goals against average of 8.29.

The Falcons have won three straight games after their 2-0 sweep last week, and will take a 6-2 record (4-2 NE10) into Wednesday night's game at Assumption.
