Bentley Hockey Enters New Era with Appointment of Jones as Head Coach

Andy Jones, most recently the associate head coach at UMass-Lowell, has been named the head hockey coach at Bentley University, Director of Athletics Vaughn Williams announced today.
Bentley Places Conference High 26 Student-Athletes on Atlantic Hockey All-Academic Team; Harrison a Student-Athlete of the Year

Bentley University placed a conference-high 26 student-athletes on the 2022-23 Atlantic Hockey All-Academic team. Senior Ethan Harrison (Plano, Texas) was named a Student-Athlete of the Year for earning a 4.0 GPA for the academic year.
CSC Academic All-District Men’s At-Large Team Includes 4 Bentley Falcons

The 2023 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Men’s At-Large teams include four Bentley University Falcons, representing the hockey, lacrosse and golf teams. Hockey’s Lucas Vanroboys (Thamesville, Ont.), a senior forward during the 2022-23 season, represented Bentley on the Division I Academic All-District team while the Division II team included sophomore golfer Nelson Eaton (Groton, Vt./St. Johnsbury Acad.) and lacrosse players Nathan Alviti (New Fairfield, Conn./New Fairfield HS) and Garrett Witt (Frederick, Md./Oakdale HS).

Soderquist Stepping Down as Head Hockey Coach

After 26 years at Bentley University, as a student-athlete and then as head hockey coach, Ryan Soderquist announced he will leave the program on June 30, 2023. “It has been an honor and privilege to serve as the head coach of the Bentley Falcons hockey program,” said Soderquist. “I am immensely proud of everything we’ve achieved.”
Niemo Named to Atlantic Hockey All-Rookie Team

Freshman Nicholas Niemo (Middlebury, Vt.) scored his second goal of the night 22 seconds into overtime to give Bentley a 5-4 overtime win over Army West Point on Saturday in the final game of the season.

Army West Point took the series opener from Bentley University 5-3 on Friday night at Bentley Arena. Freshman defenseman Pat Lawn (Waltham, Mass.) and Matt Thomson (Reading, Mass.) both had their first goals as Falcons.

Cole Kodsi (Boca Raton, Fla.) and Stephen Castagna (North Vancouver, B.C.) scored the goals and Connor Hasley (North Tonawanda, N.Y.) made 30 saves as Bentley defeated RIT 2-1 on Saturday to earn a series split.

Senior Lucas Vanroboys (Thamesville, Ontario) scored two goals and senior defenseman Hunter Toale (Coral Springs, Fla.) scored the eventual game-winner in the third period as Bentley went on the road and defeated AIC 4-3 on Wednesday night.
