Waltham, Mass. – Junior Michael Zuffante (Bloomingdale, Ill.) and sophomore Jakov Novak (Windsor, Ontario) each scored two goals and senior goalie Aidan Pelino (Oakville, Ontario) made 25 saves to lead Bentley to a 5-0 home win over Army West Point at Bentley Arena on Friday night.

Novak and Zuffante each scored in both the 1^st and 3^rd periods, while Pelino recorded his 4^th career shutout.

Bentley led 2-0 after two periods, but busted the game open with three goals in the first 5:47 of the 3^rd period. In addition to the goals by Novak and Zuffante, junior Brendan Hamblet (Hopkinton, Mass.) scored in the 3^rd frame.

Bentley (2-2-0, 1-2-0 AHA) has now won two straight games and earned its first Atlantic Hockey points of the season.

Early in the game, the first power play opportunity of the night went to Army but it was Bentley that scored as Novak lit the lamp shorthanded for Bentley to give them a 1-0 lead. Army was attempting to bring the puck out of its own end, but Novak picked the pocket of defenseman John Zimmerman behind the net, skated out front and lifted a backhander past Trevin Kozlowski for his 3^rd goal of the season at 7:42

Bentley then made it 2-0 towards the end of the period on a goal by Zuffante. D to D passing from Matt Lombardozzi (Leominster, Mass.) and Connor Brassard (Fitchburg, Mass.) found Zuffante down low on the near post, which saw him to get a quick shot past Kozlowski for his 1^st of the season at 17:36.

Both teams fired a number of shots on net in the 2^nd period, 11 for Bentley and 10 for Army, but both goalies were sharp to keep the puck out.

Bentley then got on the board just 1:02 into the 3^rd period on Zuffante's 2^nd goal of the night. Luke Santerno (Smithers, B.C.) forced a turnover in Army's end and fed the puck to Will Garin (Mound, Minn.) to create a quick two-on-one going the other way with Zuffante. Garin slid a pass over and Zuffante roofed his shot past Kozlowski for the goal.

Hamblet scored at the 2:50 mark after he put in the rebound from a shot by Lombardozzi from the point that went off the boards, and Novak finished the scoring with his second goal of the night at 5:47.

Novak now has four goals on the season in four games.

Bentley will look for its 3^rd straight win tomorrow night at the Arena when they host St. Lawrence in the first ever meeting between the two teams.
