2019 Graduate Jago Signs with AHL’s Texas Stars

Waltham, Mass. – Tanner Jago, a 2019 graduate of Bentley and last season's hockey team captain, has signed with the AHL's Texas Stars, the top affiliate of the NHL's Dallas Stars.

Jago had a stellar four year career at Bentley as a defenseman. He played in 151 career games, the 2nd most in school history. He racked up 86 points, third most all-time among defenseman at Bentley.

In each of his last two seasons, he ranked in the top-five of Atlantic Hockey in points among defensemen, with 28 in both 2017-18 and 2018-19. He capped his career with a senior season that saw him named second team All-Atlantic Hockey, and one of just five student-athletes in Division I hockey to be named to the first team for the Senior Class award.

He earned his degree in finance from Bentley in May, and was named to the Atlantic Hockey All-Academic team each of his four years.

Jago is the third member of Bentley's class of 2019 to sign with a professional team. Drew Callin signed with the Worcester Railers in the ECHL in March, and Alexey Solovyev signed with the Providence Bruins in the AHL last week.
