Waltham, Mass. – Robert Morris stayed alive in the Atlantic Hockey Quarterfinals with a 2-1 victory over Bentley University in game two on Saturday night at Bentley Arena. The series is even at 1-1 and the decisive game three will be Sunday at 4:05 pm at the Arena.

As with Bentley's win in game one, game two was decided by a goal in the final minutes. But this time it was RMU right winger Michael Louria who scored it, as his goal with 1:25 remaining put the Colonials in front.

Bentley sent an extra-attacker on for the final 1:10. A shot from the point by defenseman Connor Brassard (Fitchburg, Mass.) that was redirected just wide was its best scoring chance.

Shortly before Louria's goal, Bentley had a golden opportunity to go ahead, only to be thwarted by RMU defenseman Sean Giles. A shot from the point by Falcons defenseman Tanner Jago (Brandon, Manitoba) was saved by goalie Francis Marotte, but a big rebound went to Drew Callin (Middleton, Wisc.) in front, who looked to shoot on an open net, only for Giles to break up the play at the last second.

Bentley's goal came just 1:33 into the 1^st period, a power play goal by junior Jake Kauppila (Gurnee, Ill.), who skillfully redirected a slap shot in front of the net by Alexey Solovyev (Moscow, Russia) that came from the blue line.

Bentley though would let a few power play chances go by the boards in the 1^st period, including a 5-on-3 chance that lasted for 47 seconds.

RMU got the tying goal on a power play of its own, as defenseman Michael Louria scored at 1:26 of the 2^nd. That was the last goal for either team for almost 36 minutes until Louria's goal late in the 3^rd.

Sunday's game three will be the second year in a row and third time in four years these two teams will meet in a deciding game. They played in the 2016 quarterfinals and the 2018 first round.
