The Matchup: Bentley continues its stretch of eight games in 16 days Tuesday night when they host Sacred Heart at the JAR in the completion of a series that began one week ago. The game gets underway at 7:05 pm and can be seen on AtlanticHockey.TV

The Falcons are coming off a weekend series at Army, where they tied the first game 3-3 and dropped the finale 4-0. In Friday's tie, three different players scored and goaltender Aidan Pelino made a season high 39 saves.

Sacred Heart suffered a sweep over the weekend to Holy Cross in a home and home series. The Pioneers dropped the first game at home 3-1, then were defeated on the road 4-2.

Last Time Out: Bentley and Army played a back and forth game in the series opener at Tate Rink on Jan. 12. Bentley took the lead on three different occasions, but each time the Black Knights answered back with a goal. After a scoreless first period, the Falcons took a 1-0 lead 5:04 into the 2^nd period on a goal by defenseman Tanner Jago. Just 1:12 later though, Army tied it with a short-handed goal.

Just 2:31 after that however, Bentley senior Matt Sieckhaus cleaned up a loose puck in front of the net to make it 2-1 for the visitors. The game went into the 3^rd period tied 2-2 after Army's Blake Box scored at the 13:49 mark. In the 3^rd period, senior Andrew McDonald tipped in a shot from defenseman Alexey Solovyev, which gave them a 3-2 lead 4:54 into the final period. However, Army again tied it, as senior Conor Andrle scored a power play goal at the 8:26 mark.

Neither squad could score the rest of the way, and Bentley went to overtime for the 6^th time this season, where the game ended 3-3. The Falcons are now 0-1-5 in OT games this season.

Earlier This Season: Bentley and Sacred Heart played just one week ago at the JAR, with the Pioneers emerging with a 4-1 victory. SHU scored three times in the second period to propel them, while Bentley's Luke Santerno scored a power play goal in the third period.

Century Mark: Assistant captain Tanner Jago played in his 100^th career game on Friday night. Three seniors on the team, team captain Kyle Schmidt (138 games), defensemen Chris Buchanan (118 games) and Andrew McDonald (114) have all surpassed 100 career games as well. The next player to likely surpass that milestone is junior center Drew Callin, who has suited up in 89 games for the Falcons.

Up Next: Bentley heads back on the road this weekend when they visit the Steel City to take on Robert Morris. The Falcons swept RMU at the JAR back on the weekend of Nov. 24-25 by scores of 3-1 and 6-3. That was the start of Bentley's seven game unbeaten streak. This will be the fourth straight season the Falcons have made the trip out there. Last season, Bentley came away with three points, with a 3-0 win behind a shutout by Pelino, and a 1-1 tie.
