Schmidt Named Bentley Hockey Captain; Jago Assistant Captain

Schmidt, who was the assistant captain last season, has been one of the top scorers in Atlantic Hockey the last two seasons. Last season, he was 4th in the conference in goals (18) and T-7th in points (33).

A Walter Brown semifinalists the last two years, Schmidt will enter 2017-18 second nationally in career goals among active players (41) and T-7th in points (89).

Jago has been a mainstay on the team's blueline his first two seasons. He and Schmidt are the only two players to have played in every Bentley game the last two seasons, 79 in total. The Manitoba native has 30 career points (4 goals, 26 assists), and was named to the Atlantic Hockey All-Rookie team in 2015-16.
