WEST POINT, N.Y. – Sophomore forward Andrew Gladiuk (White Rock, B.C./Naniamo Clippers) scored two goals to lead the Bentley offense in a 5-2 victory over Army Saturday night at Tate Rink in Atlantic Hockey action.

Gladiuk had goals in the first and third periods. Alex Grieve (Calgary, Alberta/Westside Warriors), Max French (West Kelowna, B.C./West Kelowna Warriors) and Brett Gensler (St. Charles, Mo./Youngstown Phantoms) each had goals as well. Grieve and Gladiuk each had three points, as did junior defenseman Steve Weinstein (Los Angeles, Calif./Vernon Vipers), who had three assists

Goals by Grieve and Gladiuk had Bentley up 2-0 after the first period. Grieve scored first on a breakaway after taking a pass from Weinstein in the neutral zone that sprung him for the breakaway.

Grieve and Weinstein helped set up Gladiuk's goal with 21 seconds left in the first on the power play. Weinstein started with the puck at the point, fed Grieve down low who then hit Gladiuk open in the slot for the goal.

French made it 3-0 for Bentley with just over five minutes gone in the second period, however just 32 seconds later Army scored its first of the night from sophomore Shane Hearn.

Army's momentum did not last long though as Gensler scored 2:21 later to give the Falcons a 4-1 advantage. Grieve was on the right faceoff circle and hit Gensler with a nice cross ice pass that brought Army goalie Rob Tadazak out of position, allowing Gensler to score into an open net.

The Black Knights though got their second goal of the second period with 6:02 remaining from sophomore forward Willie Faust to make it 4-2.

The Falcons then maintained their two goal advantage well into the third period, and Gladiuk put the game to bed with his second of the night with 2:54 remaining. Gensler set this one up on a play similar to his goal, hitting Gladiuk from the point and getting Tadazak out of position for a shot on an open net.

Senior goalie Branden Komm (Williamsville, N.Y./Northfield Mount Hermon) picked up the win with a 34 save effort, the 30^th of his career.

Bentley will play its home-opener next Friday night when they host AIC at 7:05 pm.
