Ethier & Yoder Named to Academic All-Northeast-10 Golf Team

WALTHAM, Mass. – Tommy Ethier (Nashua, N.H./Bishop Guertin HS) and Ellis Yoder (Fort Wayne, Ind./Homestead HS), a pair of rising juniors at Bentley University, have been selected for the 2018-19 Academic All-Northeast-10 Conference Men's Golf team. They were the only set of teammates named to the five-player team.

As sophomores this past year, the duo helped Bentley finish second in both the Northeast-10 Conference Championships and the NCAA Division II East/Atlantic Regional while earning a first-ever trip to the NCAA Division II Championships.

Ethier, a PING Division II All-East Region honoree for the second straight year, led the Falcons in stroke average with a mark of 75.2. He was sixth in the regional with a 54-hole score of 222, the runner-up in the Northeast-10 Championships (68-72-140) and the champion of the American International College Invitational.

Yoder was the first-ever recipient of the NE10's Elite 24 Award, which goes to the student-athlete, competing at the conference championship, who owns the highest grade point average. Yoder, who posted a 78.1 average in his first season as a member of the team's top five, was 28th in the regional and 32nd in the conference championships.

In the classroom, Yoder has had only one grade lower than a 4.0 during his first two years at Bentley and currently owns a 3.99 GPA as a computer information science major. Ethier has also impressed, achieving a 3.63 as a corporate finance and accounting major.
