Bentley at Top of Leaderboard at Midpoint of Franklin Pierce Fall Invitational

KEENE, N.H. – After three of its players finished in the top seven during Sunday's opening round, the Bentley University golf team will be at the top of the leaderboard when the Franklin Pierce Division II Fall Invitational resumes at the Bretwood Country Club Monday morning.

With a score of 299 on a brisk afternoon, Bentley owns a one-stroke lead over second-place Southern New Hampshire University and is 10 up on the host Ravens. A total of 12 teams are participating in the two-day event.

The Falcons were led by sophomore Cal Meyers (Richfield, Wisc./Slinger HS) and freshman Doug Kulikowski (Pittsford, N.Y./Pittsford Sutherland HS). Both finished with a 73 and are in a three-way for second with Franklin Pierce's Will Pennington. All three trail Southern New Hampshire's Joshua Lacasse by two strokes.

There are also three players tied for fifth place with a 74, including Bentley senior captain Malcolm Oliver (Damariscotta, Maine/Lincoln Academy).
