PLYMOUTH, Mass. – Led by junior Jon Stoddard (Duxbury/Duxbury HS), the Bentley University golf team finished in third place in the seven-team Cape Cod Classic that the Falcons hosted at the Atlantic Golf Club on Friday and Saturday.

Bentley had a 320 second-round score and finished with a two-day total of 642, 18 strokes back of team champion American International College and 11 behind second-place Southern New Hampshire University, which had an outstanding second day (300).

Stoddard finished in sixth place with his second-round 79 giving him a 36-hole score of 156. Also in the top 11 for the Falcons were sophomore Malcolm Oliver (Damariscotta, Maine/Lincoln Academy) and senior Harry Kirkpatrick (Lancaster/Nashoba Reg. HS). Oliver tied for eighth with a 158 (78-80) and Kirkpatrick tied for tenth with back-to-back 80's.

AIC's Austin Ball captured medalist honors by two strokes with a 149, despite a second-round 78 on a windy and chilly day. Nick Adjutant of Franklin Pierce University followed with a 151, and AIC's Miguel Siercke was third with a 152.

Bentley's next tournament is the AIC Spring Classic on Friday.
