Hudson Leads Bentley during Peter King Memorial
MANORVILLE, N.Y. – Senior Ryan Hudson (Purchase, N.Y./Iona Prep HS) was the top golfer for Bentley University and tied for fifth place overall with a 27-hole score of 113 during the rain-shortened Peter King Memorial Golf Tournament, which concluded Saturday at the Rock Hill Golf Course.
Hudson's effort, which included a first-round 76, helped Bentley tied for fifth place among 14 teams with a score of 470. Nyack College captured the team title by ten strokes over Farmingdale State with a 453.
The next two on the scoring list for Bentley were junior Jon Stoddard (Duxbury, Mass./Duxbury HS) with a 115 (75-40) and sophomore Malcolm Oliver (Damariscotta, Maine/Lincoln Academy). (79-40-119).
Keith Prokop of Dominican and Scott Underhill of Southern New Hampshire shared medalist honors, each with a 27-hole score of 108.
Next Friday and Saturday, Bentley will host the Cape Cod Classic at the Atlantic Golf Club in Plymouth.
