Hudson & Stankiewicz Will Be Recognized on Senior Day Before Bentley Faces Franklin Pierce

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University seniors Chris Hudson (Hodgdon, Maine/Williston Northampton) and Seth Stankiewicz (Reading, Pa./The Hill School) will be recognized on Senior Day Saturday before the Falcons take on Franklin Pierce University in the final home game of the regular season.

Game time is set for 3:30 pm and fans who can't make it to the Dana Center can watch via the NE10 NOW digital network.

Bentley, 16-10 overall and 8-9 Northeast-10, will be looking to get back on the winning track following only two victories since a Jan. 11 win over Southern Connecticut. A number of the losses have come in one-possession games, including 84-81 in overtime to Assumption earlier this week.

In that one, Bentley had an 11-point advantage with four minutes to play and a six-point lead with a minute left before the Hounds used the three-ball to force OT. Hudson had another standout game with 25 points, nine rebounds and three assists, and sophomore forward Adria Amabilino Perez (Barcelona, Spain) came off the bench for a career-high 16 points and seven boards.

Bentley will be taking on a Franklin Pierce team that has won three of its last four. The Ravens are 15-9 overall, 10-7 conference and 6-7 away from Rindge. The Ravens are currently in third place in the NE10's Northeast Division, two games back of first-place Saint Anselm and two ahead of the Falcons, who are tied for fourth.

Hudson has had an impressive season for the Falcons with the six-foot-five forward averaging 19.4 points and 7.5 rebounds. He leads the NE10 in field goal percentage (.583) and is the only player in the conference with at least 35 blocks and the same number of steals.

Hudson has scored at least 20 in six straight games and is closing in on Bentley's all-time top 20 in both scoring and rebounds. Now 23rd in career points, he'll begin Saturday's game 17 points away from 1,400 career after passing Alex Mavroukas, Joe Hart, Jasper Grassa and Keegan Hyland on Wednesday.

Stankiewicz has been Bentley's top scorer off the bench this season, averaging 6.1 points while shooting 42 percent from three-point land and 87 percent at the foul line. Wednesday's game was the 100th of his career and his next trey will be his 100th.

On Bentley's all-time list, Stankiewicz ranks fifth in third-point accuracy (.416).

The other double-figure scorers for Bentley this season are sophomore guard Mason Webb (Oklahoma City, Okla./Bishop McGuinness HS) and junior guard Jordan Mello-Klein (Sharon/Thayer Academy). A 40 percent shooter from three who has connected 61times from beyond the arc, Webb averages 15.4 points and 4.8 rebounds. Mello-Klein's season averages are 12.1 points, 5.8 rebounds and 5.7 assists.

Guard Doyin Fadojutimi, one of four seniors and graduate students for Franklin Pierce, has had an outstanding season. He averages 18.9 points and 6.8 rebounds, and is shooting close to 40 percent from outside the arc. Earlier this month, he put up 41 points with nine three-balls in a win against Stonehill.

Another senior, guard Falu Seck, follows with a 13.9 scoring average. He also relies heavily on the three, having connected 56 times from deep. Sophomore guard Isaiah Moore, who averages 11.5 points, is the team's other double-figure scorer.

As a team, the Ravens average 80.9 points and allow 75.5 a game

Bentley will be trying to even the score with Franklin Pierce after dropping the first meeting of the year December 7 up in New Hampshire. Hudson (27) and Webb (23) combined for 50 points for the Falcons and the Ravens received 33 from Fadojutimi.

Bentley will finish the regular season Tuesday at Saint Anselm.
