Hudson Named Northeast-10 Player of the Week

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University senior forward Chris Hudson (Hodgdon, Maine/ Northampton Williston School) has been named the Northeast-10 Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week after his outstanding performance in the Falcons' come-from-behind win over Molloy College on Sunday. It's the second time in his career he's earned the honor.

Hudson established new career-bests in both points (28) and blocks (5) while sparking 3-0 Bentley to the 74-71 win. He scored nearly half of his team's points (12 of 26) in a first half that ended with the Falcons trailing by 11. Hudson bettered that in the second half with 16 points on seven-of-nine shooting as Bentley battled back to gain the win.

Hudson, who never came out of the game for the sixth time in his career, completed his double-double with 11 rebounds and also was credited with two steals and a pair of assists. He made 11 of 16 points on an afternoon his teammates were having trouble finding the target.

Hudson, through three games, is averaging 22.3 points, 8.5 rebounds and 2.3 blocks while shooting .684 overall and .867 at the free throw line.

Last season, the six-five forward produced 14.4 points a game and was among the conference's top rebounders at 8.2. He's currently 55 points away from 1,000 for his career.

Bentley is in action twice this week with a road game Wednesday at Bridgeport and a home contest against New York Tech Saturday.
