148 Bentley Student-Athletes Receive D2ADA Academic Achievement Awards

The 148 honorees was the second most for any institution in the Northeast-10 Conference and the East Region, as well as the 11th highest total nationally. Putting that into perspective, there are more than 300 Division II institutions across the country.

Bentley Places 2 on NABC Honors Court & Earns Team Academic Excellence Award

Recent Bentley University graduate Chris Hudson (Hodgdon, Maine/Williston Northampton), a first-team All-Northeast-10 Conference honoree, was named to the NABC Honors Court for the second straight year by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC). Bentley was also represented on the NABC Honors Court by junior guard Dan Reagan (Avon, Conn./Avon Gunnery School).

On this date in 2008, the 34-0 Bentley Falcons and the 36-1 Winona State Warriors squared off in the Elite Eight at the MassMutual Center in Springfield with a berth in the national championship game on the line. The two teams had met a year earlier in the quarterfinals with Winona prevailing 64-51.

The 2019-20 Bentley University men’s basketball season came to a disappointing end Friday night as Falcons were outscored 16-10 in the second overtime and dropped an 88-82 decision to the University of New Haven in the opening round of the Northeast-10 Conference Championships at the Dana Center.
