Richmond Adds to Award List with NABC All-District Honors

WALTHAM, Mass. – For the third straight year, Bentley University senior guard Ryan Richmond (Toronto, Ont./Thomson Collegiate) has been recognized with Division II All-District honors by the National Association of Basketball Coaches.

Richmond, who was previously voted to the Google Cloud Division II Academic All-America second team, was selected first-team All-East for the second straight season after being tabbed for second team honors as a sophomore.

The six-foot-one Canadian is the fourth Falcon to earn first team honors twice, joining Brian Hammel '75, Nate Fritsch '08 and Jason Westrol '10. He's also the third Bentley player to be recognized by the NABC three times, following in Hammel's and Westrol's footsteps.

Richmond wrapped up a stellar career with 2,181 career points, third most in Bentley history and his third straight 600-point season. He led the Northeast-10 with a 23.0 scoring average and owns three of the five highest single season scoring averages in program history.

Last week, Richmond received All-East honors from the Division II Conference Commissioners Association.

Bentley finished the season with a 19-10 record and was in the hunt for an NCAA Division II tournament berth until the final weekend.
