WORCESTER, Mass. – Junior Allison Juneau (Auburn) scored an unassisted goal with 2:36 left in the second overtime to give Assumption College a 2-1 non-conference field hockey win over Bentley University Friday night at Assumption's Multi-Sport Stadium.
The game had been suspended following the first extra session on Sept. 18 following a storm-related power outage.
All four shots in the extra session were taken by the Greyhounds, who improved to 6-5 with the victory. Bentley, outshot 18-5 overall, fell to 4-5 on the season.
The Falcons held the lead for most of the night following a goal from freshman Meghan Talerman (Centerville/Barnstable HS) just 51 seconds after the opening whistle. Assumption picked up the equalizer with 6:32 left in regulation when Maria Beatice (West Yarmouth) found the back of the net.
Bentley returns to action Tuesday night with a 7 pm Northeast-10 match at Merrimack College.
