Thirty-two recent Bentley University graduates are among the first-ever recipients of the Northeast-10 Conference Presidents’ Award for Academic Excellence, an honor awarded to graduating senior student-athletes for their outstanding work in the classroom during their college careers.

Three Bentley Falcons Selected for CoSIDA Academic All-District® Honors in Football

Three seniors on the 2020-21 Bentley University football team have been selected for the CoSIDA Division II Academic All-District® football team for Super Region 1, as announced today by the College Sports Information Directors of America. They are running back Andrew Brazicki (Franklin Park, N.J./St. Thomas Aquinas HS), offensive lineman Jack Kennedy (Marstons Mills/Barnstable HS) and long snapper Max Drinon (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla./St. Paul’s School (N.H.)).

On January 6-8, 10 Bentley University student-athletes participated in the 2021 Black Student-Athlete Summit hosted by the Heman Sweatt Center for Black Males at the University of Texas. The three-day event was offered virtually due to COVID-19.

NE-10 Cancels Plan to Hold Fall Sports Competitions this Spring

The Northeast-10 Conference Council of Presidents announced that it has canceled plans to reschedule intercollegiate fall 2020 athletics competitions to this spring due to the continued impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The affected sports are men’s and women’s soccer and cross country as well as football, field hockey and volleyball.

Bentley University, which topped NCAA Division II in academic success rate for the fourth consecutive year, has once again received the NCAA Division II Presidents’ Award for Academic Excellence. There are over 300 Division II institutions and the Falcons are one of only ten to earn the accolade every year in the program’s 10-year history.

Make It 4 in a Row! Bentley Student-Athletes Again Have Highest Graduation Rate in Division II

Bentley University is ranked number one nationally in this year’s NCAA Division II Academic Success Rate report, an honor it achieved for the fourth consecutive year. In Tuesday’s announcement from the NCAA, Bentley was the only institution to record an ASR of 99 for the third straight year. This also marks the seventh straight year that Bentley has achieved an ASR of 97 or better and the tenth straight it was been above 90.

On November 14, 1998, senior running Matt Rapoza amassed 253 yards of all-purpose running yards in his final career game, sophomore Ted Larkin threw for 369 yards and senior linebacker Tyler Bradshaw made a career-high 18 tackles as Bentley closed out an 8-2 season with a 38-23 home win over Stonehill.

On November 11, 2017, freshman wide receiver Austin Ryan caught four TD passes from classmate Stephen Sturm, including a 50-yarder for the lead with 1:34 left, and finished with eight receptions for a school record 284 yards as Bentley stunned previously unbeaten Assumption, 35-31, in Northeast-10 Conference action out in Worcester.

On November 7, 2015, less than a half minute after a TD pass and two-point conversion put LIU Post in front by one, Bentley senior Michael Baron sent a 31-yard field goal through the uprights with :04.4 to play to give the Falcons a stunning 30-28 Senior Day victory in Northeast-10 Conference football.
