McGee & Prendergast Earn CoSIDA Academic All-District Honors

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University senior linebacker Travis McGee (Lecanto, Fla./Lecanto HS) and junior tight end Pat Prendergast (Pierrefonds, Que./Loyola HS) have been selected for the 2019 Division II Academic All-District team for Super Region 1 by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Each will now advance to the national ballot for CoSIDA Academic All-America consideration.

McGee, who owns a 3.91 grade point average as an economics-finance major, has 31 tackles, three pass-break-ups and 1.5 tackles for losses this season. His tackle total ranks fifth on the team, and includes six against both Assumption and Southern Connecticut State.

McGee, in 28 career games, has made 61 tackles for the Falcons.

Prendergast has appeared in all nine games for the Falcons, with four starts, and has six catches for 56 yards, including five in the last four weeks. Primarily a blocker, he had two receptions against both Pace and Stonehill.

A finance major who has a 3.61 GPA, Prendergast has 21 career receptions for 132 yards.

Bentley, 5-4 overall and tied for first in the Northeast-10 with a 5-2 conference record, finishes the season Saturday at home against American International College.
