On this day in 2008, Bentley All-America offensive lineman Mackenzy Bernadeau was selected in the seventh round of the NFL draft by the Carolina Panthers. He was the 252nd overall selection and became the first-ever Bentley player to be drafted by an NFL team.

Senior wide receiver Drew Mahoney (West Suffield, Conn./Suffield Academy) surpassed 1,000 receiving yards for the season with nine catches for 192 yards, senior defensive back Pete Thorbahn (Norwell/Xaverian Bros. HS) capped his standout career with a 40-yard pick-six and the Falcon defense posted its second straight shutout as the Bentley University Falcons rolled to a 38-0 Senior Day shutout of American International College Saturday afternoon.
