Quarterback Bryant Johnson (Hopedale/Milford HS), offensive guard A.J. Riker (Haskell, N.J./Lakeland Regional HS) and safeties Steve and Don Hopkins (Waltham/Waltham HS) have been named captains of the 2011 Bentley University football team, coach Thom Boerman announced today.
Nassar Selected for Northeast-10 Hall of Fame

Bentley University football standout Ben Nassar (North Andover), a 1999 graduate, has been named one of nine members of the Northeast-10 Conference Hall of Fame Class of 2011. He is the tenth former Bentley student-athlete to be selected for the Northeast-10 Hall.

Six Falcons Named to 2011 Hampshire Honor Society

Six seniors on the 2010 Bentley University football team have been named to the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame's 2011 NFF Hampshire Honor Society. The Society is comprised of college football players from all divisions of play who each maintained a 3.2 grade point average or better. A total of 671 players from 241 schools qualified for membership in the society's fifth year.

Bentley University senior quarterback Bryant Johnson (Hopedale/Milford HS) was a unanimous choice of the Northeast-10 football coaches as the conference’s Most Valuable Player. He’s the first Falcon to receive the prestigious honor since Marc Eddy won his second straight MVP award in 2004.

Just 48 hours after falling to Holy Family University in a hard-fought, high-scoring contest between two of the projected top women’s basketball teams in the NCAA Division II East Region, the Bentley University Falcons will be back in the Dana Center Wednesday night. Merrimack College will provide the opposition as the Falcons launch their home and Northeast-10 Conference schedules. Tip-off is slated for 5:30 pm.
