146 Bentley University student-athletes have received 2020-21 Academic Achievement Awards from the Division 2 Athletics Director Association for their success in the classroom last academic year.
461 Bentley Student-Athletes Qualify for the NE10 Academic Honor Roll

461 Bentley University student-athletes, the second highest total in school and conference history, qualified for the spring 2021 Northeast-10 Academic Honor Roll by achieving a grade point average of 3.0 or better during the semester.

When asked about the attitudes of Bentley University’s Black student-athletes last summer, football defensive back and co-captain Jailen Branch said, “Prior to George Floyd, Bentley was all talk. There was a great deal of talk, statements, and speeches, but no action. Being a student of color at this predominantly white institution, I can speak for myself and others than we felt a lack of support as our voices weren’t really heard.”
Bentley Baseball Extends Streak of Academic Awards

The Bentley University baseball team earned a Team Academic Excellence Award from the American Baseball Coaches Association for its performance in the classroom during the 2020-21 academic year. It’s the sixth straight year that coach Bob DeFelice’s Falcons have been honored.

HS) was 4-for-4 to raise his season average to an even .500 and recorded an RBI in five separate innings, and sophomore right fielder Tim Zupkus (Middlebury, Conn./Holy Cross HS) scored five runs, as Bentley University advanced in the Northeast-10 Conference championships with a wild 15-13 first-round win over Saint Anselm College Tuesday afternoon at DeFelice Field.

A two-out, two-run double in the bottom of the seventh by sophomore right fielder Tim Zupkus (Middlebury, Conn./Holy Cross HS) gave Bentley University a 3-2 walk-off win over Stonehill College in the first game of a Northeast-10 Conference baseball doubleheader at DeFelice Field Saturday afternoon. It was the Falcons’ second walk-off victory in as many days and fourth of the season.

Graduate student Paul Frisoli (Watertown, Mass./Arlington Catholic HS) and senior Brandon Ostiguy (East Greenbush, N.Y./Columbia HS) combined on a 13-inning three-hit shutout and junior left fielder Liam Sears (Springfield, Mass./Pope Francis HS) drove in the game’s only run in the top of the 13th as Bentley University defeated 11th-ranked Southern New Hampshire for the second straight game in the first of a Northeast-10 Conference doubleheader Sunday night at the SNHU Field.
