Troiani Named Northeast-10 Baseball Player of the Week

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University junior center fielder Max Troiani (Pittsford, N.Y./ Pittsford Mendon HS) has been named the first Baseball Player of the Week this season in the Northeast-10 Conference. With only a couple teams in action during the first two weekends, the award covers the opening three weekends of the new season.

During two trips to Florida, Troiani hit .417, slugged .750 and had a .440 on base percentage in six games. His ten hits included two doubles and two leadoff home runs, and he also had eight runs scored and four RBI. He had three multi-hit games, including 4-for-5 with four runs scored and three RBI at Barry. During the opening trip which included games at Palm Beach Atlantic, Lynn and Barry Feb. 1-3, Troiani had a slash line of .636/.667/1.273.

Last season, Troiani batted .351 with his 54 hits included ten doubles, two triples and a home run. He scored 32 times, drove in 20 runs, and finished with 17 stolen bases and a .420 on base percentage.

Troiani received third-team All-Northeast-10 honors, was selected to the Academic All-NE10 team and also earned Google Cloud Academic All-District 1 honors.

Bentley is back in action Mar. 1-3 with a three-game series against Assumption College in Lake Brantley, Fla.
