Troiani Named to Academic All-Northeast-10 Baseball Team

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University outfielder Max Troiani (Pittsford, N.Y./Pittsford Mendon HS), a rising junior, has been selected for the 2018 Academic All-Northeast-10 Conference baseball team, which was announced by the NE10 office today.

Troiani, a third-team All-Northeast-10 honoree, had a strong season at the plate for the Falcons with his .351 batting average second best on the team and seventh best in the conference. He was also eighth in the NE10 in stolen bases with 17 in 20 attempts.

Troiani's 54 hits included ten doubles, two triples and one home run. Previously selected to the Google Cloud Academic All-District 1 team by the region's sports information directors, he scored 32 times, drove in 20 runs and posted a .988 fielding percentage as the Falcons' center fielder.

This summer, Troiani is hitting a team-best .400 in 15 games for the Lake Monsters of the Interstate Collegiate Baseball League.

In the classroom, Troiani has achieved a 3.71 grade point average while majoring in economics-finance. He's been named to the President's List once and the Dean's List twice during his first three semesters at Bentley.

Bentley finished the season with a 20-21 record, including 14-11 in conference play.
