WORCESTER, Mass. – Grad student Kevin Foley (Southbury, Conn./Pomperaug HS) and senior outfielders Tom Nagy (Fairfield, Conn./Ludlowe HS) and Mike Muir (Bridgewater/Xaverian Bros. HS) each scored twice as Bentley University closed out the 2015 season with a 9-3 win over Assumption College in Northeast-10 Conference Northeast Division baseball at Rocheleau Field Sunday afternoon.

Nagy had three of the Falcons' 12 hits and finished his final collegiate season as the team's Triple Crown winner, leading the club in average (.328), home runs (9) and RBI (25).

Bentley (10-23, 8-13 NE-10 Northeast) claimed the lead in the first inning and never let it go.  Freshman left fielder Nick Neshe (Waltham/Waltham HS) reached on a one-out infield single, took second on a throwing error, moved to third on a fly ball out and scored on a passed ball.

In the fourth, Bentley loaded the bases with no outs on an infield single by Nagy, a single through the right side by senior first baseman Ryan O'Connor (Newburyport/Newburyport HS) and a walk to junior catcher Bryan Rocha (Rehoboth/Dighton-Rehoboth HS). Nagy scored on a double play, O'Connor came home on a passed ball and a double to right center by junior shortstop Justin Ashworth (Orange, Conn./Amity Regional HS) brought in Foley with the Falcons' fourth run.

After the Greyhounds (9-30, 5-16 NE-10 Northeast) scored twice in the bottom of the fourth, Bentley matched it in its next at bat with both Muir and Nagy scoring on Rocha's triple to left.

The visiting Falcons put up another two runs in the eighth, making it an 8-3 game. Back-to-back doubles by freshman third baseman Mike Samko (Arlington/BB&N) and Foley produced the first run and Foley later scored on a sacrifice fly by junior shortstop Zachary Littman (Abington/Abington HS).

Bentley closed out the scoring in the ninth when Muir reached on an error and scored on an O'Connor single to left.

In addition to three hits by Nagy, Bentley received two apiece from Foley, Rocha and O'Connor. Sophomore lefty Evan Walsh (Arlington/Arlington Catholic HS) earned the win on the mound for the Falcons, his team-leading fourth in seven decisions. He pitched the first six innings and gave up six hits and two runs while striking out four.
